PulmoHeal is committed to providing equal and accessible service to all patients, including people with disabilities. The website was adapted in accordance with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, and Israeli Standard SI 5568, based on WCAG level AA.
What we have done
- Semantic page structure, with ordered headings and consistent navigation.
- Full keyboard navigation, with a clear focus indicator.
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
- Alternative text for meaningful images; decorative illustrations are hidden from screen readers.
- Text can be enlarged up to 200% in the browser without loss of content.
- Responsive design for phones and tablets.
- Form fields with clear labels and understandable error messages.
- No pop-ups that open by themselves, and no flashing or auto-playing content.
- Hebrew (right-to-left) and English support, with the correct language set for each page.
Browsers and assistive technology
The website was checked in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and mobile, and is designed to work with common screen readers.
Accessibility at the clinic
The clinic is located in Assuta Ramat HaHayal Hospital, Ambulatory Tower, 11th floor, HaBarzel 20, Tel Aviv. According to Assuta’s accessibility arrangements:- Central elevators on the entrance floor, with voice guidance for people with visual impairment (RightHear app).
- Accessible restrooms on every floor and accessible examination rooms with adjustable beds.
- Free wheelchair loan station at the main entrance.
- Escort from your car to the medical center, by prior arrangement.
- Guide dogs and service animals are welcome.
- Sign-language interpreting by prior arrangement.
- Accessible EV charging spots in the parking garage, level -1.
